Welcome to My Site!

Explore this space to learn more about me as a student and researcher!

Currently, I am a PhD candidate in physical chemistry at the University of Oregon. I am co-advised by Larry Scatena (aka Richmond Lab) and Carl Brozek.

My research interests lie in understanding nanoparticle interfaces and how molecular orientations at interfaces impact colloid stability. Mainly, I use vibrational sum frequency spectroscopy as a tool to probe buried molecular vibrations. I study nanoemulsions consisting of hexadecane and water for applications in oil remediation and nanoparticles of metal organic frameworks (nanoMOFs) for their unique long-term colloidal stability. Outside of research, I'm a LGBTQ+ in STEM advocate and love to get outside and play with my dog, ski, or hike. If you have questions or would like to work with me, please reach out! Thanks for visiting!
